CASHLESS – GENERAL INFORMATION

To make your festival experience at RACINO ROCKS as smooth as possible, we would like to provide you with some information about the Cashless system and topping up your Cashless card.

At Racino Rocks you can easily and conveniently make cashless payments everywhere with EC and credit cards. Any fans who do not have a card with them can purchase a special Cashless card with cash, EC, debit and major credit cards and top it up to make purchases. There are several top-up stations on the site for this purpose. However, we strongly recommend that you bring an EC or credit card with you!

WHY CASHLESS?

There are numerous advantages to a cashless payment system:

  • No cash that can get lost while partying.
  • Shorter waiting times thanks to faster payment at bars and food stalls
  • We prevent theft and fraud

WHAT ARE THE FEES AND DEADLINES?

There are of course no fees for payment by EC and credit card!

If you do purchase a cash card, it costs a one-off fee of 5 euros. You can load money onto the cash card free of charge and ask for your remaining balance back free of charge after the event.

The refund period for your remaining balance begins on 2 June 2024. You have until 30 June 2023 to claim your money back via this link.  After that, refunds can only be requested by emailing  racino@gastrobuero.de.

IMPORTANT: To claim your remaining balance, it is important that you keep your Cashless card. Please do NOT throw it away beforehand! It is important that you keep the card until you have received your refund.

Topping up on-site at a top-up station: You can top up your Cashless card on site at the Cashless Top Up stations for a one-off fee of €5. You can either top it up with an EC or credit card or cash, or by using the Fast Top Up function/QR code on the cards

IS CASH STILL USED?

No! Racino Rocks is cashless. During the festival you can easily and conveniently pay with EC, debit and major credit cards at all bars, food trucks and other points of sale.

You can also top up your Cashless card on site with cash, debit or a major credit card.

I NEED HELP OR HAVE A QUESTION THAT HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED HERE. WHO CAN I CONTACT BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER THE EVENT?

We have our own crew who have a lot of experience with cashless systems and can answer all your questions.

CASHLESS: TOPPING UP

Your own Cashless card serves as a digital wallet – and as a festival souvenir – alongside the debit and credit card payment options. You can top it up with money in various ways.

You can obtain your Cashless card for a one-off activation fee of €5 at the Cashless Top Up stations on site.

What options are there for topping up the Cashless card?

You have various options for topping up your Cashless account and your Cashless card:

  1. On site at the selected top up stations with cash
  2. On site at the selected top up stations using the EC card function
  3. Top up using the Fast Top Up function/QR code on the cards by scanning the QR on your card with your phone.

How do I top up my Cashless card?

Topping up your Cashless card is simple and straightforward. Here are the steps for topping up your card:

  1. Visit one of the Cashless top-up stations on the festival site. These can be found at various strategic locations to ensure that you are always able to top up.
  2. Show your festival card at the top-up station.
  3. Select the amount you want to top up your card with. You can use cash or a major credit/debit cards to top up your card.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the top-up process. As soon as your card has been successfully topped up, you will receive a confirmation message.
  5. You are now ready to use your Cashless card for purchases on the festival site!

Alternatively, you can top up using the Fast Top Up function/QR code on the cards by scanning the QR on your card with your phone.

What is the minimum amount I have to top up and what is the maximum I can top up?

You don’t have to put money on your Cashless card. This does not affect your access to the event. You can put a maximum of 250 euros on your Cashless card. The minimum balance is 1 euro.

What payment methods can I use for topping up?

At the Cashless top-up stations on site:

  • Sofort Zahlung / cash
  • Credit card
  • EC card

ON THE FESTIVAL SITE:

WHERE CAN I GET MY OWN CASHLESS CARD?

You can get your Cashless card at the Cashless top-up stations on site for a one-off activation fee of €5

WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY CASHLESS CARD OR THE CHIP STOPS WORKING DURING THE FESTIVAL?

If you have a problem with your chip, please go to the Cashless help desk as soon as possible. Our team will be able to help you.

HOW CAN I CHECK MY ACCOUNT BALANCE AND TRANSACTIONS AT THE EVENT?

You can check your balance at any bar or food stall once you have made a purchase. Of course, you can also check your balance at any of the top-up stations on site.

You can also check your transactions at the Cashless help desk. Please only go there if you have a problem; otherwise use one of the other options.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THERE IS A MISBOOKING OR A PROBLEM AT THE BAR OR FOOD STALL?

If a booking problem occurs or something has been charged incorrectly, please contact the supervisor of the stand concerned. They will be able to help you and correct the error.

CASHLESS REFUND

How does the refund process work?

You can request the refund of your Cash Card Credit from Sunday, 2 June 2024 from 12 noon via the login below:

We enable your remaining balance to be refunded via this link until 30 June 2024.

It is important that you keep the Cashless card until you have received your refund.

This is how it works:

  1. Refunds will NOT be made on site at the cash top-up stations
  2. After the event, you can apply for a refund of your remaining balance via this link from 2 June 2024 until 30 June 2024. After that, refunds can only be requested by emailing racino@gastrobuero.de.

You can keep the card as a souvenir

  1. It will then take about two weeks for you to get your money back. The one-off activation fee will not be refunded.

How long does it take to get a refund?

We process all requests immediately and try to issue refunds within two weeks.

What are the costs?

You will not incur any costs for the refund. You can read about all the terms and conditions in this FAQ in the section “What are the fees and deadlines?”.

Is the Cashless system secure?

Absolutely! Weezevent is our partner and responsible for the Cashless system. They are an established cashless provider who look after hundreds of events throughout Europe every year. Your money is absolutely safe on the chip, and Weezevent adhere to all laws and data protection regulations.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY DATA?

Every use of the Cashless card and therefore every top-up or purchase is recorded electronically. This means you are not completely anonymous. But you don’t need to worry about your personal data: The information on your Cashless account will of course remain private. The information on your Cashless card will of course remain private!

Data security is very important to us. We strictly adhere to all regulations and laws, including the GDPR, and do not share any data with partners or sponsors.

Will my movements be monitored and analysed during the event with the Cashless card?

No, the chips do not contain a GPS tracking system. It is just a payment system.
